C Kenneth Haynes was the manager/owner of the lanes per the 1941-42 Ives Business Directory.
Kenneth Haynes sold the lanes to James F Burk from Boulder Colorado Jan 10, 1946 per the Sheridan Press. At some point between 1949 and 1953, the alley changed their phone number from 569 to 300! Walter K Miller was the owner/manager of the alleys per the 1953-54 Rocky Mountain Business Directory. Henry B Hannum was the owner/manager of the alleys per the 1955 Rocky Mountain Business Directory. Between 1955 and 1957 (per the phone book) the alleys changed names from Sheridan Recreation Center to Sheridan Bowling Center. Carl E Hendrickson was the owner/manager of the alleys per the 1966 Polk Sheridan City Directory. In 1968, at the State Bowling Association's 19th annual meeting, they awarded the 22nd Annual Men's State Tournament to the city of Sheridan to help them prepare for the event in advance but the actual tournament was held in Laramie, not Sheridan, when the Sheridan Bowling Center was scheduled to close before the tournament. A public auction was held on January 11, 1969 to sell the contents of the bowling alley. |
