Kenneth Haynes sold the lanes to James F Burk from Boulder Colorado Jan 10, 1946 per the Sheridan Press. At some point between 1949 and 1953, the alley changed their phone number from 569 to 300! Between 1955 and 1957 (per the phone book) the alleys changed names from Sheridan Recreation Center to Sheridan Bowling Center. The alleys likely closed in 1969 as there is no reference in the Feb 1970 phone book. Walter K Miller was the owner/manager of the alleys per the 1953-54 Rocky Mountain Business Directory. Henry B Hannum was the owner/manager of the alleys per the 1955 Rocky Mountain Business Directory. |
